What personal data we collect and why we collect it

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Contact / Order forms

When you submit any form on our website, including but not limited to Contact and Order forms, we collect the details shown on the form and filled out by yourself and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

These details are collected for the purpose of responding to your query or processing your order.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you have an account and you log in to this site, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

Analytics

The MBB Studios cannot uniquely identify an individual via Google Analytics. The information that Google Analytics provides is used by us to undertake profiling of website usage and analysis including but not limited to: number of unique visitors, trend of new/repeat visitors, where visitors are entering our website from (e.g. via Instagram, Facebook, search engines, direct entry), what pages are visited and where visitors are leaving the website.

Who we share your data with

Your details provided are used by our Customer Service team for the purposes of fulfilling your order including: corresponding with you via email on the order, processing payments and shipments. Along with this our Management team summarises all order details to analyse our sales to determine areas of demand such as from particular region/provinces.

Details provided via our eCommerce site for purchases (e.g. name, address, contact number) will be used to generate shipping requests and labels with your selected Courier. As a result these details will be shared with the respective Courier company and their delivery team.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

Details provided via our online order form are stored indefinitely, this includes the personal information you provide via this form. This is so we can follow up with any inquiries post sale, maintain a view of our VIP shoppers and summarise our sales overtime to see trends e.g. high demand from particular provinces.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

We ensure our website is running the latest versions of all software in our control within 60 days of release.

What data breach procedures we have in place

If we are made aware of a data breach we will immediately: notify any individual that may have been effected, work with authorities to identify who was responsible for the breach and how it occurred.

Depending on the breach we may choose to suspend our eCommerce operations while investigations or appropriate remediation is taken.

Post breach an assessment will be made to review what needs to be implemented to prevent future breaches.

All online orders and enquirers are processed manually by our Customer Service team.

Profile – we do ad hoc profiling of our orders. This profile includes but is not limited to: trends via country, province/surburb, repeat orders down to particular customers (this is used to reward and provide special attention to our VIP customers).
